Purpose
This article provides guidance for addressing issues with Microsoft Teams latency, even after switching networks. The solution includes updating device drivers, software, and firmware, and performing additional troubleshooting if necessary.
Steps Taken to Address the Issue

Step 1: Update Drivers, Software, and Firmware
To ensure optimal performance, update the device's drivers, operating system, and firmware:
Verify Teams Updates
- Open Microsoft Teams.
- Click on your profile picture > Check for updates.
- Allow Teams to download and install any updates.
Updating Windows Operating System
- Press Windows Key + I to open Settings.
- Navigate to Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Click Check for updates.
- Download and install any available updates.
- Restart the system if prompted.
Updating Drivers via Lenovo Driver Update Utility
- Navigate to the Lenovo Driver Update page.
- Click on Automatic Driver Update to scan for outdated drivers.
- Download and install the recommended updates.
- Restart the device to ensure changes take effect.
Updating Firmware (BIOS/UEFI)
- Open the Lenovo Driver Update Utility from the link above.
- Look for firmware updates listed under the BIOS/UEFI section.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the update.
- Restart the device to apply the firmware changes.
Step 2: Monitor and Confirm Resolution
- The user should monitor Microsoft Teams after applying the updates.
- Check whether Teams operates smoothly without latency.
Additional Troubleshooting Steps
If the issue persists:

Run Windows Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional Troubleshooters.
- Select Internet Connections or Programs as needed, and click Run the troubleshooter.
- If the automatic driver update takes too long you can , manually install the AMD KIT Driver
