Disbursing the Penna Reprint Using the New "Disbursements" Screen in CATS
Purpose
To outline the proper use of the new Disbursements screen in the CATS Call workflow for tracking and managing the distribution of the Penna Reprint to HCPs.
Introducing the Penna Reprint
The Penna Reprint is a PRC-approved, restricted reprint that field representatives are allowed to proactively provide to HCPs.
-
Only one Penna Reprint may be given to any individual HCP.
-
Its disbursement must be recorded in the CATS system using the new Disbursements functionality.
Using the New "Disbursements" Screen in the Call Workflow
A new screen has been added to the call workflow that allows for recording promotional item disbursements. This screen appears in the following in-person call types:
-
HCP Detail Only
-
Non-HCP Detail Only
-
Detail & Sample
How to Record a Disbursement
This screen functions similarly to the Sample screen:
-
Select the item: Penna (Restricted Reprint)
-
Enter the quantity to disburse.
-
If multiple HCPs are listed, select the correct HCP who is receiving the reprint.
-
Click "Add".
Confirmation of Reprint Added
Once added, the reprint will appear in the Call record.
Tracking the Disbursement of the Reprint
To ensure compliance with the "one reprint per HCP" rule, CATS has added a new field that helps identify whether an HCP has already received the Penna Reprint. This information is visible in:
-
The Preview Pane of the selected HCP
-
The Grid View of the Contact List
Visual Cue in the HCP Preview Pane
When an HCP has already received the Penna Reprint:
-
The new field displays "Yes"
-
The text is shown in red font, making it easy to recognize
Conclusion
The addition of the Penna Reprint and the corresponding Disbursements tracking feature in CATS ensures responsible and compliant distribution of promotional materials. Please make sure to follow the outlined steps and confirm whether an HCP has previously received the reprint before disbursing. This process supports accurate documentation, regulatory adherence, and effective field operations.
